Tree of Lights for Hospice- 24th Annual Service

Posted by on Monday, December 5th, 2011 at 12:29pm

The Tree of Lights Service will take place on December 8, 2011 and is open to the public. It is a way to remember a loved one or honor someone special with the purchase of a "light" for the beautiful holly tree, which is planted next to Emmanuel Episcopal Church in downtown Chestertown.  The service includes a tree lighting ceremony and singing, followed by a simple reception.  More information at: Hospice Tree of Lights

The Tree of Lights was started by Hospice in 1987 and has become a tradition for Chester River Home Care & Hospice (CRHC&H). Each year CRHC&H offers a non-denominational Tree of Lights service to honor and remember friends and loved ones around the globe, as well as the patients and families it served during the year. This year the service will take place on December 8 and is open to the public. The service includes a tree lighting ceremony and singing, followed by a simple reception.

This year, Chester River Home Care & Hospice is offering the Hospice Tree of Lights keepsake ornament: The 2011 Hospice Peace Dove. The dove is a symbol of love and peace, as well as a messenger of hope. We are selling each porcelain dove ornament for $25 (also includes a "light" on the Tree of Lights).
