Kent Island - Gardens by the Sea Annual Tour

The Kent Island Federation of Arts (KIFA) in Stevensville, Maryland is planning its fourth annual “Gardens By The Sea” tour for the weekend of June 8th and 9th, 2013.  Most gardens will either be directly on the Chesapeake Bay or on inlets of Cox and Thompson Creeks, Eastern Bay, Prospect Bay, and the Wye River.  Enjoy a self-guided tour of these gardens with docents greeting one at each garden and pointing out special features that make these gardens unique. There will be plein air artists at work as well.

In addition to beautiful flowers, gorgeous landscapes, water views and unique gardening techniques, a very special feature of this year’s tour once again will be the Cascia Vineyards on Kent Island.  With the KIFA Garden Tour ticket booklet, visitors will have an opportunity to tour the vineyard and for a nominal additional fee of $5 participate in an optional wine-tasting of some of the area’s best wines while relaxing under umbrellas on the winery deck overlooking the gardens and the waters of Cox and Thompson Creeks.  Read more Gardens by the Sea Tour
