Just outside of Rock Hall is Eastern Neck National Wildlife Refuge, a 2,285-acre island refuge and a major feeding and resting place for migrating and wintering waterfowl. The refuge offers wonderful wildlife viewing and expansive views of the Chester River and Chesapeake Bay along 7 different trails and boardwalks. The Visitor Contact Station is staffed daily by volunteers.
Rock Hall is located right on the Chesapeake Bay and is a destination where you can rent a small boat or kayak for a day. In addition, larger boats are available for bare-boat chartering and captained bay cruises. Rock Hall and its surrounding areas offer places to explore as well as all types of outdoor recreation.
Visit shops showcasing local artwork, crafts and antiques, stay in a charming B&B, an historic inn or in the campground right on the Chesapeake Bay. Enjoy casual and fine dining in historic and waterfront settings. The Mainstay, located in an historic building, presents a diverse offering of concerts by local, regional, acclaimed national and international musicians at a reasonable ticket price. Like many of the local towns, Rock Hall offers a true getaway.
