Wine & Oyster Pairing Event

Crow Vineyard is hosting a local pairing of award-winning Crow wines and oysters from Orchard Point Oysters *  The pairing includes a tasting of 3 wines and 3 oysters as well as samples of local Eve’s Cheese and Crow grass-fed Angus beef. Award Winning Crow Vineyard & Winery is also a lovely Farmstay B&B.  Guests can enjoy wine tastings, farm-to-table experiences and other events. The winery is located in Kennedyville on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, just north of Chestertown.

Downtown Chestertown is hosting various holiday themed events throughout Chestertown this weekend.  Children's activities include Santa's Workshop, Ghost Stories of Historic Kent County, Toy Train and Model Railroad Exhibit at Kent County Public Library, and Colonial Crafts for Kids.

The 3rd Annual Great Chesapeake Balloon Festival will be held:

Friday & Saturday, August 1 & 2, 2014

The Easton festival will feature many events including at least 15 balloons and a giant walk-thru balloon for children and adults.  Two hot air balloons, tethered to the ground will offer rides up to 60 feet in the air.  After Sunset there will be a balloon 'glow'.  Premiering this year is a special shape balloon, “Eddie &  Rickenbacker” balloon featuring the history of Army aviation.  Visit this link for additional info More Balloon Festival

CHESTERTOWN CRAZY DAYS

Chestertown’s annual Crazy Days event is this week!  The main focus is on the downtown shops having their sidewalk sales.  In Fountain Park kids can enjoy free face painting, story telling with local Playmaker's group, and watch a Pie Eating Contest.

SUMMER SOLSTICE CELEBRATION

This CRA event is to celebrate the Chester River and the good works of CRA to protect the Chester River.  This year there will be an open bar, buffet dinner by Magnolia Caterers and live music.  A silent and live auction will give guests an opportunity to bid on paintings, sailing adventures, and a cruise aboard the historic schooner Sultana with up to 25 guests.
