Queen Anne's County Information
Queen Anne's County is named for Queen Anne of Great Britain who reigned when the county was established in 1706. The historic town with its tree-lined streets and rich history is a classic example of small-town Americana. Lovers of historic architecture can enjoy the Colonial period homes as well as gracious Victorian dwellings.
Queen Anne's County has lots to offer to nature lovers. One way to explore nature in the area is at the Chesapeake Bay Exploration Center, which is just north on Kent Narrows. Here you'll find a five hundred acre estuary where wildlife may be viewed up close from hiking trails, observation towers and blinds.
