This year's Kent County 4-H Fair will be held July 19-21, 2012. The traditional annual county fair will have farm animal shows, tractor pull, 4H Exhibits, bull-riding and other activities. Tall Ships, skipjacks, schooners, buyboats and wooden boats will be visiting October 27-30, 2011 for the Annual Chestertown Downrigging Weekend, Tall Ship and Wooden Boat Festival. Downrigging Weekend has become one of Kent County’s largest events, with more than 10,000 visitors. Sail on a “Tall Ship" or go onboard for a tour. The kick-off begins on Friday with the Tall Ships Illuminated from 6:00-9:00 PM and fireworks at 7:00. Saturday events include the Wooden Boat Show, Canon Demonstration by ‘The British Marines”, concerts, lectures and exhibits. The Remote Control Model Sailboat Exhibition is on Sunday.
