CHESTERTOWN CRAZY DAYS

Chestertown’s annual Crazy Days event is this week!  The main focus is on the downtown shops having their sidewalk sales.  In Fountain Park kids can enjoy free face painting, story telling with local Playmaker's group, and watch a Pie Eating Contest.

Friday the 4th of July, Chestertown will have its firework display at dusk on the Chester River. A good view point is Wilmer Park.  Also on Friday,  July 4th from 5-8pm is the Chestertown First Friday "Independents' Celebration" in Fountain Park. More 4th Event Info

The National Music Festival at Washington College brings together world-classmentors and gifted apprentice musicians on the cusp of their professional careers.  All apprentices receive full scholarships. For two weeks each June, these musicians liveand work together, presentingover 35 concerts — ranging from solo recitalsto large symphony orchestra performances with chorus — and 200 free open rehearsals for music lovers from all over the world.

The Annual Chestertown Tea Party Festival Events include street performances, folks in period dress, colonial crafts, parade, cocktail party, and musicians.  A Wine and Craft Beer Tasting will be held at Wilmer Park from noon to 4 p.m. This event will feature local Maryland wineries and craft brewers.
