Annual Chestertown Tea Party Festival | Saturday, May 25-26,  2013

The Annual Chestertown Tea Party Festival will be underway this weekend, May 25-26.  Events include the reenactment of the 'Tossing of the Tea Overboard' down on the Chester River.  Folks will be wandering around in Colonial costumes including the colonial militia reenactors.  Handmade crafts are for sale with demonstrations on how colonial items were made.  Enjoy great food and entertainment for the whole family.  A Walking Tour of the Historic District is also offered.  On Sunday, have fun watching the zany Annual Raft Race.

TALL SHIP & WOODEN BOAT FESTIVAL, October 26-28, 2012. This event is one of the largest annual Tall Ship and wooden boat festivals on the East Coast. First introduced in 2001, Chestertown's Sultanta Projects' Downrigging Weekend Tall Ship & Wooden Boat Festival offers a waterfront with Tall Ships, maritime crafts, wooden boats, artists, author lectures, and world-class music.  Reservations can be made for Public sails on the Tall Ships and Family Boatbuilding. On Friday night all the the Ships are beautifully illuminated and are highlighted with a a firework display.  

Trick-or-Treat - On Sunday from 2:30-4:30 children in costume can trick-or-treat onboard as they tour the ships.

Annual Rock Hall Fall Fest 2012

Rock Hall is hosting the 14th Annual Rock Hall Fall Fest for 2012.  The festival celebrates the tradition of Rock Hall oystering and the commitment to the return of the famed local oyster. The Rock Hall shuckers, will open as many as 3,000 Chesapeake Bay oysters.  Some of the local oystermen will be there to answer your questions about the Bay.
