This year's Kent County 4-H Fair will be held July 19-21, 2012. The traditional annual county fair will have farm animal shows, tractor pull, 4H Exhibits, bull-riding and other activities. The Kent County 4-H Fair focuses on agricultural education and providing educational opportunities for county youth. More Information
CROW FARM & VINEYARD | Debut Wine Tasting
On June 23 at 12 noon, Crow Farm & Vineyard will be hosting the debut of their first wine tasting, of their first wines, as the first winery in Kent County. They are featured on the Chesapeake Wine Trail on the upper Eastern Shore. For overnight stays, the farmstay B&B offers three rooms in the 1847 farm house.

ANTIQUE AND CLASSIC BOAT FESTIVAL - ST. MICHAELS
The Annual Antique & Classic Boat Festival will be held at the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum in St. Michaels on Friday - Sunday, June 15-17, 2012. CHESTERTOWN TEA PARTY FESTIVAL
The Annual Chestertown Tea Party Festival will be underway this Saturday, May 26, 2012. Events include the reenactment of the 'Tossing of the Tea Overboard' down on the Chester River. Folks will be wandering around in Colonial costumes as well as the colonial militia reenactors. Handmade crafts are for sale with demonstrations on how colonial items were made. A Walking Tour of the Historic District is also offered. On Sunday, have fun watching the zany Annual Raft Race. More Info
WineFest AT ST. MICHAELS | EASTERN SHORE
The WineFest at St. Michaels will be held April 28 and 29th, 2012 from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM. The Eastern Shore event benefits local charities and offers wine tastings at many interesting venues all thoughout the town of St Michaels. Saturday tickets are only available online. ANNAPOLIS SAILBOAT SHOW - New Spring Show
The first annual Annapolis Spring Sailboat Show is April 27-29, 2012 at the Annapolis City Dock. There are 100 exhibitors and 60 sailboats displayed. Admission is $10 for adults and $4 for youth 7-12.

River Otters - Hanging out in the Chester River
We were suprised to see something 'rather odd' floating up Phillips Creek the other day. It just didn't look like the usual array of fish, duck, goose, snake, Osprey, or other critters we have around. We finally identified it as a River Otter.
