The Kent County Fair is being held July 18, 19 & 20, 2013.  The focus of the Kent County Fair is agricultural education and providing educational opportunities for county youth.  The Fair features 4-H and community exhibits, animals, tractors, games and entertainment.  Popular fair events include bull-riding and the 4-H livestock and cake auctions.  Each evening features different foods including a fish fry and pit beef on Thursday, pork bbq on Friday and chicken bbq on Saturday.  More Kent County Fair

Antique boats and wooden classics come to the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum (CBMM) this June 14 – 16 for the 26th Annual Antique & Classic Boat Festival in St. Michaels, MD.  It is hosted by the Chesapeake Bay Chapter of the Antique & Classic Boat Society (ACBS), this Father’s Day weekend event brings an era of by-gone days to CBMM’s waterfront campus.

The Kent Island Federation of Arts (KIFA) in Stevensville, Maryland is planning its fourth annual “Gardens By The Sea” tour for the weekend of June 8th and 9th, 2013.  Most gardens will either be directly on the Chesapeake Bay or on inlets of Cox and Thompson Creeks, Eastern Bay, Prospect Bay, and the Wye River.  Enjoy a self-guided tour of these gardens with docents greeting one at each garden and pointing out special features that make these gardens unique. Annual Chestertown Tea Party Festival | Saturday, May 25-26,  2013

The Annual Chestertown Tea Party Festival will be underway this weekend, May 25-26.  Events include the reenactment of the 'Tossing of the Tea Overboard' down on the Chester River.  Folks will be wandering around in Colonial costumes including the colonial militia reenactors.  Handmade crafts are for sale with demonstrations on how colonial items were made.  Enjoy great food and entertainment for the whole family.  A Walking Tour of the Historic District is also offered.  On Sunday, have fun watching the zany Annual Raft Race.
