TALL SHIP & WOODEN BOAT FESTIVAL, October 26-28, 2012. This event is one of the largest annual Tall Ship and wooden boat festivals on the East Coast. First introduced in 2001, Chestertown's Sultanta Projects' Downrigging Weekend Tall Ship & Wooden Boat Festival offers a waterfront with Tall Ships, maritime crafts, wooden boats, artists, author lectures, and world-class music.  Reservations can be made for Public sails on the Tall Ships and Family Boatbuilding. On Friday night all the the Ships are beautifully illuminated and are highlighted with a a firework display.  

Trick-or-Treat - On Sunday from 2:30-4:30 children in costume can trick-or-treat onboard as they tour the ships.

Annual Rock Hall Fall Fest 2012

Rock Hall is hosting the 14th Annual Rock Hall Fall Fest for 2012.  The festival celebrates the tradition of Rock Hall oystering and the commitment to the return of the famed local oyster. The Rock Hall shuckers, will open as many as 3,000 Chesapeake Bay oysters.  Some of the local oystermen will be there to answer your questions about the Bay. 

On Saturday, October 13 there will be the usual family events.  Kids can try their hand at tonging for oysters.  Enjoy great local food, excellent music - at end the day, Deanna Bogart will be in front of The Mainstay.  Rock Hall FALL FEST Info

The U.S. Sailboat Show in Annapolis, Maryland takes place October 4-8, 2012.  This show is one of the nation's oldest in-water boat shows and brings over 600 exhibitors of boats and sailing gear. The Sailboat Show features new racing and cruising sailboats from leading U.S. and foreign builders as well as the nation's largest multihull display. 

The U.S Powerboat Show in Annapolis takes place October 11-14, 202. It features luxurious motor yachts, offshore fishing machines, trawlers and high performance boats, and center consoles and family cruisers.  The show also features a big selection of boat accessories, marine equipment, boating gear, high-tech marine electronics, and navigation equipment.

Chestertown Historic House Tour

This is one of the oldest regional house tours. The New Republic and the War of 1812, will be the focus of the tour's theme this year.  Visitors will step back in time in properties that stood during this transformative period in history. This year, Sultana Projects has introduced Chesapeake Journeys.  It is a series of multi-day adventures to explore remote areas of the Chesapeake in a relaxed and educational atmosphere. All Hands Below Deck...This Friday, September 14th there is a Schooner Sultana Two Hour Public Sail.  This week is a Music Sail with Chris Cerino.
